Every encounter counts.
Every1Counts is a collective of ecology engineers and data specialists, brought together by a shared conviction: “When you can measure what you are speaking about... you know something about it.” (William Thomson Kelvin).
The team handles every stage of each project: deploying the sensor network in the field, overseeing data collection and processing, ecological analysis of the site, production of biodiversity reports and measurement of the impact of practices and land management.
We are a small outfit, and that is our strength: every project benefits from direct team involvement, from the first field visit to the conclusions of the annual report.
A year after Every1Counts was founded, the protocol was validated for the first time at full scale at Château La Peyruche, in partnership with the microbiology laboratory of Aix-Marseille University.
It is here, at the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards, that the Observatory's proof of concept was built: the ability to continuously measure, with scientific rigour, the evolution of biodiversity on a working agricultural site. Since then, we have continued to monitor the site's biodiversity, and we trial the latest innovations there for measuring biodiversity.
